Alessandro Boccolini is an Associate Professor of Modern History at the University of Tuscia, specialising in Eastern Europe. He earned his PhD in 2015. His experience includes serving as a Research Fellow in Sweden (IIC Stockholm/Clerici Foundation) and as a Visiting Professor in Ukraine (Kyiv, Lviv). He specialises in modern diplomacy, particularly the relations between the Holy See and Central/Eastern Europe. He directs “Eastern European History Review” and is part of CESPoM and the PhD program “History and Cultures of Europe” at Sapienza. In 2025, he received the Janta Travel Award (University of Kansas), and in 2026, he will be a visiting scholar there. Since 2023, he has been a Visiting Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University. In 2023, ASN Full Professor (11/A2).
