Alessandra Serra teaches English Language and Translation at UNITUS. Her research interests include fin-de-siècle culture, Victorian and neo-Victorian fiction, persuasive language, and digital media. She is the author of a monograph on Anglicisms in advertising (The Use of English in Italian Advertising), and another on adaptation (Re Media: Adaptation and Transcodification of the Victorian Era in Contemporary Textuality), along with various articles on the transcodification processes of literary texts (with a particular focus on television seriality), the linguistic evolution of online communication, and political discourse. She is also the author of the first Italian translation of The Frozen Deep by Wilkie Collins.
