DEB of Science | II edition

Friday, 16 October 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the second edition of DEB of Science will take place at the Santa Maria in Gradi complex of the University of Tuscia. The event is dedicated to science communication and scientific exchange and is promoted by the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB).
Following the institutional greetings, faculty members from the Department will present some of the most innovative research projects, ranging from applications of physics and nanoscience in biology to the study of groundwater as a hidden natural resource, and from the relationship between ageing and cancer to the cellular response to genomic damage and the discovery of the molecular languages of tumours.
The morning will continue in the medieval cloister with a poster session dedicated to the DEB’s research projects and educational programmes, providing a unique opportunity for direct interaction among researchers, students and the local community.
Science communication is at the heart of the initiative and aims to inform and inspire the community, with particular attention to young people and businesses, fostering new synergies and professional career opportunities.
The event will take place in person. Participation is open to everyone, subject to registration via the following form and until the maximum capacity of 400 participants is reached: https://forms.gle/CKoVhrMQNiy3FABq6
