The “Economics and Management for Innovation and Sustainability” curriculum is one of three tracks within the LM-77 Master’s Degree Program in Economics, Management, and Finance and is taught entirely in English.
The program is designed to provide advanced training in the areas of innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability, with an integrated approach that combines economic and business expertise. The goal is to train professionals capable of understanding and managing the processes of change affecting businesses and production systems, with a particular focus on the dynamics of the ecological transition, the circular economy, and the creation of long-term sustainable value.
Students acquire the tools to analyze the impact of technological and organizational innovations, evaluate sustainability-oriented business strategies, and interpret the role of public policies in development processes. The curriculum thus prepares professionals capable of operating in international contexts, contributing to the design and management of innovative and sustainable business models.
The “Economics and Management for Innovation and Sustainability” curriculum of the LM-77 program in Economics, Management, and Finance offers advanced training in innovation processes and sustainability. It aims to develop economic and business competencies to analyze market changes, evaluate business strategies, and interpret the role of public policies. Students acquire tools for data analysis, measuring economic and sustainability performance, and designing innovative business models. The program trains professionals capable of managing the transition to sustainable production systems, operating effectively in complex international contexts.
To be admitted to the Economics and Management for Innovation and Sustainability curriculum of the Master’s Degree in Economics, Management and Finance at the University of Tuscia, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or a three-year university diploma, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable.
Enrollment is in any case subject to verification of curricular requirements, adequate personal preparation, and English language proficiency at least at B2 level.
For students holding a qualification obtained abroad or in Italy under previous academic systems, the Degree Programme Board will verify the curricular requirements through an evaluation of the applicant’s prior academic career. For international students, admission requires completion of the Oral interview.
Graduates of the “Economics and Management for Innovation and Sustainability” program have access to a wide range of professional opportunities in both national and international settings. They can work as innovation managers and focus on sustainable development within companies. They also find opportunities as sustainability and ESG specialists, supporting companies in integrating environmental, social, and governance criteria into their strategies and business models. Additional career paths include strategic consulting roles focused on innovation and sustainability. Graduates can work in industrial and service companies, consulting firms, public institutions, and international organizations, contributing to the design and management of initiatives aimed at sustainable growth and the competitiveness of economic systems.
The PhD program in Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods is structured into three curricula:
Agri-food Economics and Policy (focused on the economic analysis of agri-food systems, the policies addressing them, and their interdependencies with overall economic development at both global and local levels);
Management (focused on the study of corporate governance and strategy, excellence models for digital competition, environmental, ethical and social responsibility of firms, technological innovation, digital transformation, new circular business models, and quality management);
Economics and Statistics (focused on the study and analysis of socio-economic and monetary-financial phenomena at macro, meso and micro-economic levels through economic theories, models, and statistical-econometric methods).
The course allows access to the state exam for registration in section A of the register of chartered accountants and accounting experts.
