    Verification of Curricular Requirements

The Master’s Degree (LM-85) in Pedagogical Sciences for Educational and Social Institutions, offered by the Department of Law, Social and Pedagogical Sciences (DIKE) at the University of Tuscia in collaboration with the Department of Education at Roma Tre University, has been designed to respond to contemporary educational, social, and institutional challenges.

The degree program will launch in the 2026/2027 academic year, with teaching activities starting in October 2026. Enrollment will open in September 2026.

Teaching is delivered primarily via distance learning through synchronous online lectures and asynchronous activities, while internships and examinations will take place in person at the Santa Maria in Gradi Complex of the University of Tuscia.

  • Educational Objectives

    The degree program trains educators and pedagogists qualified to design, coordinate, and evaluate educational and social interventions within human services, public institutions, the non-profit sector, and local community organizations.

    The curriculum integrates pedagogical, psychological, sociological, and legal expertise, with a strong focus on inclusion, educational welfare, social policies, and community planning.

  • Admission

    Direct Admission:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in L-19 (or Class 18 under Ministerial Decree ex D.M. 509/99).

    • Proficiency in a European Union language (other than Italian) at B2 level or higher, or an equivalent university examination.

    Admission from other Degree Programs:

    • Three-year or four-year Bachelor’s Degree (including foreign qualifications, if deemed equivalent) with at least 48 ECTS credits (CFU) across the following areas: pedagogy, philosophy-psychology-sociology-anthropology, history-law-economics-geography, and language/computer skills, in accordance with the Degree Program Regulations.

  • Career Opportunities

    The Master’s Degree prepares students to work as pedagogists in educational and social services, local government authorities, schools, social cooperatives, social enterprises, and services dedicated to early childhood, minors, families, social marginalization, and interculturality.

    The degree fits within the framework of the pedagogical profession outlined by current legislation. Subject to the requirements specified by applicable law, it also grants access to initial teacher training and qualification pathways for competition class A-18 (Philosophy and Human Sciences) as well as specialized training programs for special education teaching (TFA Sostegno).

  • Further Education

    The degree program enables students to continue their higher education through Master’s programs, Ph.D. studies, advanced training courses, and further specialization pathways, fostering the development of advanced skills in pedagogical research as well as educational and social planning.
