Insurance coverage

Students enrolled at the University of Tuscia are covered by the following insurance policies:

“Accumulated Injuries” suffered by students during activities organized by the University, including commuting risks.

As an illustrative example, but not limited to, injuries are covered during:

  • Attendance at academic activities, including moving between university facilities, participation in both academic and non-academic events, excluding competitive sports events.
  • Conducting study, research, and practical internships.
  • Participation in internships at companies.
  • Cultural, artistic, religious, recreational, and sports events such as excursions, museum visits, exhibitions, walks, hikes, and pilgrimages.
  • Travel related to the purposes covered by the insurance policy, using ordinary means of transportation, including both land and sea travel, provided it is organized by the University.
  • Participation in training sessions and competitions for university sports events organized by university bodies.
  • All cultural exchanges between the University and other foreign universities during academic activities.

Those insured also include students participating in the “Socrates/Erasmus” program, studying at universities adhering to the “Erasmus University Charter,” including transfers to and from the study location. Likewise, students from other universities hosted at the University of Tuscia are considered insured.

“Third Party Liability”

Insurance coverage applies to any accident causing injury to persons or damage to material objects caused by the student community as a result of an accidental event related to the activity performed (up to a limit of 10,000,000 euros).

As an illustrative example, but not limited to, the insured include individuals of any nationality regularly enrolled (including those beyond the normal duration) in degree courses, diploma courses, advanced courses, specialization schools, special-purpose schools, doctoral programs, first and second-level master’s degrees, etc. It also includes student collaborators, post-doctoral/degree/diploma/master interns, scholarship holders, trainees, volunteers, as well as foreign students attending one or more courses within community programs.
