Administration, Finance, and Control (phasing-out)

The programme provides students with advanced knowledge in business, law, statistics and mathematics, and economics, enabling them to address business issues from an integrated perspective. The degree programme is divided into three curricula:

• Administration and Control (for professionals working in business and professional services);
• Finance (for specialists in the financial sector);
• Quantitative Methods and Economic Analysis (for specialists in economics and statistics).

The programme includes professional training activities carried out in companies, management consulting firms, research institutions, or supervisory authorities.

Admission to the Master’s Degree Programme requires a Bachelor’s degree in classes L-18 or L-33.

Admission to the Master’s Degree Programme is also open to applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree in other degree classes, another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable, or a degree awarded under the previous four-year university system, provided that they meet the following curricular requirements (at least 36 ECTS credits) relating to basic knowledge in business, economics, law and statistics:

• from 6 to 12 ECTS credits in SSD SECS-P/01 or SSD SECS-P/02;
• from 6 to 12 ECTS credits in SSD SECS-P/07 or SECS-P/11;
• from 6 to 12 ECTS credits in SSD IUS/01 or IUS/04;
• from 6 to 12 ECTS credits in SSD SECS-S/01 or SECS-S/03 or SECS-S/06;

Students who have obtained, or are about to obtain, a Bachelor’s degree in class L-18 (or equivalent degree classes pursuant to Ministerial Decree 509/99) from the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Tuscia already meet the above curricular requirements.

All other students who do not meet these curricular requirements must make up any deficiencies before enrolling in the degree programme, since current regulations do not allow enrolment in Master’s degree programmes with outstanding educational requirements. For this purpose, students may enrol, through the University’s Central Student Office (Via Santa Maria in Gradi no. 4), in individual courses belonging to the relevant academic disciplinary sector in which they need to acquire credits, and take the corresponding examinations, even if they are still enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme.

Students coming from degree programmes offered by other departments of the University or by other universities are advised to request a preliminary assessment of their admission requirements (didatticaeconomia@unitus.it or tel. 0761357704 – 0761357717).

Students wishing to enrol in the Master’s Degree Programme in Administration, Finance and Control must submit, according to the deadlines that will be published on the Department website at the beginning of each academic year, a mandatory pre-enrolment application to the Department’s Teaching Office (Via del Paradiso no. 47).

The pre-enrolment application may be submitted either in paper form during the Teaching Office’s opening hours or by email to didatticaeconomia@unitus.it within the deadlines that will be announced.

Only graduates from another university are required to attach to the pre-enrolment application a self-certification of their degree, including the examinations passed, the credits obtained, and the relevant academic disciplinary sectors, pursuant to Presidential Decree 445/00.

Please note that pre-enrolment is free of charge and does not bind the student in any way.

After submitting the pre-enrolment application, students will be required to attend an interview aimed at assessing the adequacy of their personal preparation.

The interview dates and the deadlines for submitting the pre-enrolment application will be published in due time among the NOTICES on the website of the Department of Economics and Business.

At the same time as submitting the pre-enrolment application, or after completing the admission interview, the student must submit, through the GOMP portal, a request for clearance (Application for verification of the curricular admission requirements).

The clearance will be issued by the Degree Programme Teaching Office only after the interview has been completed and on the basis of its outcome. It is a necessary requirement either to proceed with enrolment, if the interview allows direct admission without outstanding requirements, or to enrol in individual courses, if deficiencies have been identified and specific examinations have therefore been prescribed as mandatory for enrolment. In the latter case, after receiving the clearance, the student must contact the Student Office at corsisingoli@unitus.it to obtain information on the administrative procedure to be followed for enrolment in the individual courses required to obtain the missing ECTS credits.

Please note that enrolment in individual courses, when aimed at subsequent enrolment in a Master’s degree programme at the University, is completely free of charge. Students may attend classes and take the corresponding examinations at no cost.

The programme aims to train professionals in business consulting and process control, financial market analysis, and economic data management.

The programme provides access to the State Examination required for registration in Section A of the Register of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts.
