UNICORE 7.0 | University Corridors for Refugees

Unitus continues its participation this year in the UNICORE – University Corridors for Refugees program, promoted by UNHCR to provide refugee students with the opportunity to pursue higher education in Italy through scholarships offered by the participating universities, which this year number 33.

Since 2019, over 300 young refugees have been able to study, graduate, and build a new future through UNICORE, an initiative that breaks down barriers and creates concrete opportunities for integration and personal growth.

For UNICORE 7.0, carried out with the support of UNHCR, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the program’s numerous partners, Unitus issued a call for applications for two scholarships for refugee students.

Yesterday, the first scholarship recipient, Sandra Neh Tiwah, a refugee in Nigeria, arrived to begin her studies in the LM-90 (DIKE) master’s degree program, under the supervision of Prof. Vitiello, the project coordinator.
