SAFETY DAY 2025 | DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK IN AGRICULTURE OCTOBER 23

The study day, now in its fifteenth edition, will be dedicated to the role of digital technologies in preventing accidents and protecting the health of agricultural workers.
The event will open with an update on the current situation regarding occupational accidents and diseases in agriculture, presented by experts from SPRESAL, ASL Viterbo, followed by the presentation of innovative digital safety tools, including SIRTRAck, a system for detecting and tracking obstacles for self-propelled agricultural machines, and a driving simulator for training in the safe use of agricultural and forestry tractors.
The conference will then address highly topical issues such as the impact of environmental conditions on workers’ performance and the management of heat stress risk, also through the use of the new TermoSafety app, developed by the University of Tuscia (Unitus).
Considerable attention will also be given to emerging risks related to climate change, with a focus on biological risks from insects and on the contribution of digital technologies to prevention.
In the afternoon, the SIRTRAck device will be presented to the public, followed by talks on artificial intelligence applied to Safety & Security and new fire prevention technologies.
The day will conclude with an open discussion between professionals and institutions, in preparation for Safety Day 2026.

 The event is recognized as “continuing education” for RSPP and ASPP (art. 32, Legislative Decree 81/08), Safety Trainers, and Workers’ Safety Representatives (RLS) in the agricultural sector.
