DEB | The Montagu’s Harrier: A Twenty-Year Research Journey

25 October 2025 - 16:00 / 18:00

We would like to inform our students about the public meeting “Montagu’s Harrier, a story spanning twenty years!”, organized by LIPU BirdLife Italy – Montagu’s Harrier Study and Conservation Group (GSCA). The event will take place on Saturday, October 25, at 4:00 PM at the Church of Santa Maria della Salute, via della Pescheria, Viterbo.

This event represents an important opportunity for outreach and discussion focused on the protection of the Montagu’s Harrier, one of the most emblematic species of Italian avifauna, and to present the research and conservation activities carried out over the past twenty years.

Prof. David Costantini, a professor of our Department, will participate in the meeting. Other speakers will include Luciano Proietti (President of Archeotuscia), Alessandro Polinori (President of LIPU BirdLife Italy), Marco Gustin (LIPU Species and Research), Martina Colopardi (veterinarian, GSCA), Richard Thompson (liaison with LIPU UK), Enzo Calevi (LIPU Viterbo delegate and GSCA coordinator), and Martina Anfuso (liaison with LIPU UK).
