Computational Modeling in Research and Future Perspectives in Quantum Computing | prof. Kakhaber Tavzarashvil

8 May 2025 - 16:00 / 17:00

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 project, Professor Kakhaber Tavzarashvili, Director of the Center for Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence at the School of Science and Technology, University of Georgia (Tbilisi, Georgia), will deliver a seminar lecture entitled: “Computational Modeling in Research and Future Perspectives in Quantum Computing.”

The seminar will be held on Thursday, 8 May 2025, at 4:00 PM, in Room F8, Block F, Campus Riello, at the University of Tuscia (Largo dell’Università snc, Viterbo). Thanks to the collaboration with Porta Futuro Lazio (PFL), the event will also be accessible via live streaming.

The lecture will provide an introductory overview of the role and potential of computational modeling in scientific research, with particular emphasis on its application to the study of surface plasmon polaritons and frequency-selective surfaces — structures known for their capacity to generate enhanced electromagnetic fields at specific frequencies, which can facilitate the attraction and deposition of nanoparticles or molecular layers.

The seminar is open to bachelor’s and master’s students of the University, PhD students, and all those with an interest in the subject.

For further information, please contact Professor Chiara Baldacchini at: baldacchini@unitus.it.

To receive the access link for the online session, registration via the Porta Futuro Lazio portal is required.
