SHWA 2026: Rome and Viterbo to host the 9th International Conference on Safety, Health and Welfare in Agro-Food and Forestry Systems


From 14 to 16 September 2026, the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (DAFNE), University of Tuscia, will host—together with INAIL—the IX SHWA Conference (Safety, Health and Welfare in Agriculture & Agro-Food Systems), an international forum focused on research, innovation and policy for safer and healthier agro-food and forestry systems.
For the first time, SHWA will take place across two venues: Rome (at INAIL Headquarters) and Viterbo (University of Tuscia / DAFNE facilities), combining keynote talks, parallel sessions, discussions, and on-site activities including technical visits.
Call for Abstracts & proceedings
The Call for Abstracts is open. Accepted contributions may be included in the conference proceedings following a peer-review process (Springer).
Abstract deadline: 14 March 2026.
