EXAMPLES OF FOREST MANAGEMENT IN ALBANIA WITHIN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECTS

💻 Registration:   https://seminaricreaunitus.crea.gov.it/

As part of Italian international cooperation efforts, a portion of financial resources is allocated to environmental issues, specifically those related to forestry. Following the large EU Natura 2000 funding initiative—which also involved Albania—several transnational projects have been launched to improve identified best practices and refine investigation areas while addressing challenges within Albania’s protected areas.
One of the first projects, NaturAlbania, concluded in 2023 and laid the groundwork for planning and managing several protected zones. Many of these areas lacked management plans entirely, while others had not been updated since 1985. Through initial remote analyses followed by extensive ground control point surveys, it was possible to refine existing cartographic data or, in some cases, create new maps from scratch. These efforts established the foundation for more informed and effective land management by the Albanian Agency for Protected Areas.

📣⚠️ The webinar is part of the training project “Towards Green Horizons”, organized within the framework of the excellence project D.I.Ve.r.So.
The Order of Agronomists and Foresters of Viterbo will grant 0.25 Professional Training Credits (CFP) for each seminar; the Territorial College of Graduate Agricultural Experts of the Province of Rome will grant 2 CFP per seminar; the National College of Agrotechnicians will also grant 2 CFP per seminar.
The training project counts toward the annual 40-hour training performance target outlined in the Directive of the Minister for Public Administration dated January 16, 2025. Credit recognition is subject to passing a final assessment test administered at the end of each event.
