SUMMARY:International Summer School: Urban data science
DESCRIPTION:L’Università degli Studi della Tuscia\, in collaborazione con UTEC (Technological University of Uruguay)\, Tandon School of Engineering della New York University\, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens e Technical University of Lisbon\, organizza la terza edizione della “International Summer School: Urban Data Science”. \nL’iniziativa offre a studentesse e studenti dei corsi di laurea magistrale un’opportunità unica per approfondire le proprie competenze nell’ambito delle sfide multidisciplinari delle aree urbane e dell’analisi dei dati applicata ai contesti urbani. \nLa Summer School si terrà presso il Centro Studi Alpino di Pieve Tesino (Trento) dal 22 giugno al 4 luglio 2026 e sarà svolta in lingua inglese. \nIl programma didattico affronterà i seguenti temi: \n\nUrban Hydrology (modelli e simulazioni delle precipitazioni);\nUrban Metabolism (analisi dei flussi di materia nei sistemi economici);\nUrban Thermal Environment (valutazione e mitigazione delle isole di calore urbane).\n\nDurante il corso saranno approfonditi argomenti quali l’analisi delle serie temporali\, i sistemi complessi\, le tecniche di data analysis\, il machine learning e l’analisi di immagini satellitari. Le attività didattiche prevedono anche esercitazioni pratiche finalizzate all’applicazione delle conoscenze acquisite\, nonché una valutazione conclusiva. \nLa partecipazione è gratuita per le studentesse e gli studenti magistrali dell’Università degli Studi della Tuscia: sono coperti sia la quota di iscrizione sia i costi di alloggio. \nPer informazioni e modalità di partecipazione è possibile contattare il Prof. Andrea Petroselli all’indirizzo: petro@unitus.it
