ABSTRACT <\/strong><\/p>\n ‘Fllipped learning’ is a teaching methodology that aims to make school time more productive and functional with respect to the needs of society in the information era. It is considered a sub-type of blended learning, and its distinguishing feature is to feed the students with information (mainly video contents) before the actual course delivery starts. This model is very useful especially for upper-level students since their knowledge accumulation enables them to adapt to self-directed learning. Through flipped learning, students turn into active learners who receive information before the course and boost up their higher-order thinking skills.<\/p>\n BIOTE(A)CH aims to integrate \u2018design thinking\u2019 and \u2018flipped learning\u2019 to ensure students keep being active during the learning processes. The design thinking approach focuses on developing innovations with superior solutions, lower risks and costs of change and employee buy-in. Therefore, supporting in innovation development willingly is one of the most critical factors for employees to develop innovations.
