SUMMARY:Merit Award in Biological Sciences – 1st Edition (Academic Year 2024–2025)
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB) at the University of Tuscia is pleased to announce the winners of the first edition of the Merit Award in Biological Sciences\, established within the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Biological Sciences (L-13) to recognize and reward the commitment and academic achievements of outstanding students. \nEach award\, worth €500\, is granted to second-year students enrolled in the 2024–2025 academic year who have distinguished themselves for their dedication\, perseverance\, and excellent academic performance in Biological Sciences. \nThe winners of this first edition are Eleonora Roticiani and Matteo Zaccaria.The award ceremony will take place on Monday\, November 3\, 2025\, at 11:00 a.m.\, in Room 5 (2nd floor\, Block B\, Riello Campus) of the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences. \nThe event will open with remarks by Professor Sara Rinalducci\, President of the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Biological Sciences and Chair of the selection committee. This will be followed by addresses from Professors Laura Bertini and Roberta Meschini\, orientation coordinators and members of the committee. The morning will conclude with the presentation of the awards to the winners. \nThrough this initiative\, the Department aims to promote and celebrate academic excellence\, supporting students in their educational and professional development within the field of Biological Sciences. \nBROCHURE

SUMMARY:The “Green & Blue Jobs Days” are back: two days dedicated to professions focused on the protection of terrestrial and marine environments
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB) of the University of Tuscia\, in collaboration with Porta Futuro Lazio (PFL)\, presents the third edition of the Green & Blue Jobs Days\, two days of in-depth discussions and career guidance dedicated to new professional opportunities in the fields of biodiversity conservation\, sustainable management of natural resources\, and ecological transition. \nThe event will take place on Thursday\, November 20\, from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.\, and Friday\, November 21\, 2025\, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.\, online. \nNovember 20 will feature the Green Jobs Day\, entirely dedicated to professions related to terrestrial ecosystems. Through the experiences and insights of experts and professionals working in the fields of nature conservation\, environmental education\, sustainable agriculture\, and science communication\, the event will offer an opportunity to reflect on the growing importance of green skills in building more resilient and sustainable economies. \nNovember 21 will host the Blue Jobs Day\, focused on professions connected to the marine and coastal environment.
