He is a scientific expert in the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Crises and Emergencies in EU Integration (EmergEU) and a member of the Maastricht Centre for European Law (MCEL) and the Belgian Association for European Law (BEDER). Guido holds a Law Degree from LUISS University and an LL.M. from Maastricht University\, and he also studied law at the London School of Economics and Leiden University. DESCRIPTION:Les printemps du droit – IV edizione – Italia – 21 – 22 maggio 2026\nLa Giustizia all’epoca della post-verità Tra relativo e universale\nScarica il programma completo \nPresentazione\nDopo aver riflettuto su guerra e diritto a Bologna\, sull’urgenza ecologica a Ciudad Real\, poi sulla Ragion di Stato a Parigi\, la quarta edizione dei Printemps du droit prosegue il dialogo avviato intorno all’opera di Mireille Delmas-Marty. L’edizione mira\, in particolare\, a portare avanti la riflessione sulle forze immaginanti del diritto\, con specifico riguardo alla tensione tra relativo e universale. Se questa diade\, nel pensiero di Mireille Delmas Marty\, è stata sviluppata principalmente per l’analisi delle norme e dei valori\, il seminario si propone di utilizzarla per l’osservazione dei fatti. \nNell’era  cosiddetta  della  post-verità\,  segnata  dalla  frammentazione  degli  spazi  pubblici\, dalla concorrenza delle narrazioni e dalla relativizzazione delle evidenze fattuali\, la giustizia appare come uno dei luoghi istituzionali in cui si tenta una stabilizzazione dei fatti e\, attraverso di essi\, una possibile costruzione dell’universale. I rischi insiti nella pretesa di universalità si accompagnano all’accentuarsi della frammentazione\, la quale spesso non si risolve in un insieme di prospettive relative\, ma\, paradossalmente\, in una pluralità di dimensioni tutte a vocazione universale\, distinte e tra loro non comunicanti. \nIn particolare\, le trasformazioni contemporanee legate al digitale\, alla globalizzazione dell’informazione e alle riconfigurazioni dei rapporti tra giustizia e altri poteri\, mettono in discussione il ruolo della giustizia\, esponendo la funzione giurisdizionale a dinamiche di contestazione\, negazione e talvolta delegittimazione. Le controversie legate alle gravi violazioni dei diritti umani e ai conflitti armati\, ai cambiamenti climatici e ai rischi sanitari\, offrono terreni esemplari per analizzare queste tensioni. Esse rivelano quanto la giustizia sia oggi posta «tra relativo e universale»\, investita cioè di un’aspettativa di universalità pur confrontandosi con processi di frammentazione del vero. \nSi tratta\, dunque\, di esaminare alla luce di questa tensione costitutiva il ruolo del giudice e del giurista\, le condizioni di legittimazione del giudicare e\, più in generale\, la funzione stessa del diritto. In particolare\, la giustizia esercita un ruolo evidente di produzione della verità; ruolo che implica l’iscriversi della giustizia in un circuito all’interno del quale essa è anche consumatrice di verità già prodotte. Ora\, ciò a cui sembra assistersi è l’emergere di una giustizia consumatrice delle verità che produce essa stessa\, e\, al tempo stesso\, di altri attori sociali che si fanno produttori e consumatori di verità parallele. In questo modo\, il rischio è che la produzione di verità operata dalla giustizia diventi un fine in sé\, in un circuito autopoietico e impermeabile. Pare dunque importante analizzare anche quali siano le trasformazioni e le strategie di adattamento che la giustizia mette in atto — o potrebbe mettere in atto — per uscire da questa impasse\, sia per evitare di diventare un sistema interamente autopoietico\, sia per non essere marginalizzata. \nGiovedì 21 maggio al mattino si terrà la cerimonia di conferimento del dottorato honoris causa a Rosario Aitala e Nicolas Guillou\, giudici della Corte penale internazionale. La cerimonia si inserisce simbolicamente nell’ambito della Giornata della legalità\, organizzata come ogni anno dall’Università della Tuscia\, in collaborazione con il Tribunale e le scuole di Viterbo nonché con l’associazione «Amici di Giurisprudenza»\, per ricordare la strage di Capaci del 23 maggio 1992. A conclusione della cerimonia è prevista anche la consegna dei premi di un contest studentesco sul tema dell’abuso di potere. \nIl seminario di venerdì 22 maggio sarà articolato in cinque fasi\, dedicate a dinamiche contemporanee di universalizzazione e relativizzazione dei fatti\, nonché alle prospettive aperte per la giustizia nell’era della post-verità. In particolare: una sessione introduttiva; una prima sessione sulle dinamiche delle diverse e talvolta conflittuali costruzioni di verità universali; una seconda sessione sull’estensione dei dispositivi di protezione di verità considerate universali; una tavola rotonda; e un intervento conclusivo. È previsto inoltre un breve momento di presentazione del sito di Second Souffle « La boussole des possibles». \nI relatori\, secondo una formula già sperimentata nelle edizioni precedenti\, potranno scegliere di esprimersi in francese\, inglese o italiano; confidando che\, parlando lentamente\, tutti possano partecipare e comprendere.

SUMMARY:International workshop | Climate\, landscape and human impact in Italy during the Etruscan period
DESCRIPTION:From 25 to 27 May 2026\, the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Pisa will host an international workshop on the interactions between human communities and the environment in Central Tyrrhenian Italy during the Early Iron Age (ca. 1000–500 BCE). The event brings together paleoclimatologists\, paleobotanists\, archaeologists\, and historians to investigate the relationships between ancient societies and their environmental context. \nThe Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (DEB) of the University of Tuscia participates in the event as a partner\, with the involvement of Gianluca Piovesan\, member of the scientific committee\, and Jordan Palli\, member of the organising committee. \nParticipation in the workshop is free. DESCRIPTION:The University of Tuscia\, in collaboration with UTEC (Technological University of Uruguay)\, the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University\, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens\, and the Technical University of Lisbon\, is organizing the third edition of the “International Summer School: Urban Data Science.” \nThe program offers Master’s degree students a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of multidisciplinary urban challenges and data analysis applied to urban contexts. \nThe Summer School will take place at the Centro Studi Alpino in Pieve Tesino (Trento\, Italy) from June 22 to July 4\, 2026\, and i twill be held in English. \nThe course will cover the following topics: \n\nUrban Hydrology (rainfall models and simulations);\nUrban Metabolism (understanding material flows across the economy);\nUrban Thermal Environment (assessing and mitigating urban heat).\n\nThroughout the program\, participants will explore subjects such as time series analysis\, complex systems\, data analysis techniques\, machine learning\, and satellite image analysis.
