SUMMARY:SHWA 2026: Rome and Viterbo to host the 9th International Conference on Safety\, Health and Welfare in Agro-Food and Forestry Systems
DESCRIPTION:  \nFrom 14 to 16 September 2026\, the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (DAFNE)\, University of Tuscia\, will host—together with INAIL—the IX SHWA Conference (Safety\, Health and Welfare in Agriculture & Agro-Food Systems)\, an international forum focused on research\, innovation and policy for safer and healthier agro-food and forestry systems. \nFor the first time\, SHWA will take place across two venues: Rome (at INAIL Headquarters) and Viterbo (University of Tuscia / DAFNE facilities)\, combining keynote talks\, parallel sessions\, discussions\, and on-site activities including technical visits. \nCall for Abstracts & proceedings\nThe Call for Abstracts is open. SUMMARY:International Summer School: Urban data science
DESCRIPTION:The University of Tuscia\, in collaboration with UTEC (Technological University of Uruguay)\, the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University\, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens\, and the Technical University of Lisbon\, is organizing the third edition of the “International Summer School: Urban Data Science.” \nThe program offers Master’s degree students a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of multidisciplinary urban challenges and data analysis applied to urban contexts. \nThe Summer School will take place at the Centro Studi Alpino in Pieve Tesino (Trento\, Italy) from June 22 to July 4\, 2026\, and i twill be held in English. \nThe course will cover the following topics: \n\nUrban Hydrology (rainfall models and simulations);\nUrban Metabolism (understanding material flows across the economy);\nUrban Thermal Environment (assessing and mitigating urban heat).\n\nThroughout the program\, participants will explore subjects such as time series analysis\, complex systems\, data analysis techniques\, machine learning\, and satellite image analysis.
