SUMMARY:Registrations are now open for the Summer School on Ecological Restoration and the Nature Restoration Regulation
DESCRIPTION:Applications are officially open for the Summer School “Ecological Restoration and the Nature Restoration Regulation”\, a free training opportunity promoted by the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) and the University of Genoa\, with the support of the Italian Network for Ecological Restoration (RIRE) and the NbS Italy Hub. Among the members of the scientific committee is Professor Chiara Baldacchini\, lecturer in Physics at the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences and deputy coordinator of the Hub. \nThe initiative will take place in Genoa from 8th to 12th September 2025 and is aimed at professionals in the field\, staff of public or private institutions\, as well as recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in environmental sustainability and applied ecology. The course aims to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the implementation of the Nature Restoration Regulation across urban\, rural\, and marine contexts. The programme includes lectures\, field excursions\, and interactive workshops led by experts\, researchers\, and specialized faculty members. \nParticipation is free of charge and limited to a maximum of 40 selected candidates. Travel expenses will be covered\, while accommodation and meals will be the responsibility of participants. \nApplications must be submitted by July 28th\, 2025\, to the email address formazione@micamo.com\, along with a curriculum vitae and a motivation letter. DESCRIPTION:CREA-UNITUS SEMINAR SERIES | EUROPEAN AND NATIONAL POLICIES FOR ENERGY TRANSITION IN THE AGRI-FOOD SECTOR \n SEPTEMBER 11 | 3:00 PM\n Registration:   https://seminaricreaunitus.crea.gov.it/ \nThe global events of recent years – from the pandemic to the instability of energy and raw material supplies – have highlighted the need to establish a more sustainable relationship with the environment\, through a substantial paradigm shift in the way we consume and produce. This transformation\, or rather transition\, is aligned with the path outlined by the new PNIEC\, and it fully involves the worlds of production\, services\, and households. Such a situation calls for a new approach\, in which productivity and economic growth must be reconciled with the goals of environmental sustainability\, social inclusion\, and energy transition. RSE’s contribution will focus on assessing the role of the agri-food sector\, across its various supply chains\, in achieving decarbonization targets. \n The webinar is part of the training project “Towards Green Horizons”\, organized within the framework of the excellence project D.I.Ve.r.So.\nThe Order of Agronomists and Foresters of Viterbo will grant 0.25 Professional Training Credits (CFP) for each seminar; the Territorial College of Graduate Agricultural Experts of the Province of Rome will grant 2 CFP per seminar; the National College of Agrotechnicians will also grant 2 CFP per seminar.\nThe training project counts toward the annual 40-hour training performance target outlined in the Directive of the Minister for Public Administration dated January 16\, 2025.
