Self-reseeding annual legumes in vineyards and hazelnut groves

Self-reseeding annual legumes such as subclover and annual medics can be profitably used as cover crops in Mediterranean orchards. They grow during the wet season and die before summer time, thereby aiding in erosion control and reducing competition with the vineyard and hazelnut grove for water and nutrients.
