Graduated in Agricultural Sciences and licensed as Agronomist at Palermo University;
Teaching course of Tropical and sub-tropical agronomy from 1987 to A.Y. 1998/99;
From A.Y. 1998/99 onwards, takes part in teaching the following modules: Herbaceous cropping I (cereal, fodder and industrial crops);Herbaceous cropping III (mediterranean fruit crops);Herbaceous cropping IV (cereal, fodder and industrial mediterranean crops);
Participation to Committees for the achievement of the title of Agronomist, and for competitions to the frequency of Doctorate courses, and to the qualification and confirmation in role as University lecturer;
Participation to the activities of the Inter-university Centre for scientific cooperation between European and Latino-american Universities (EULA) by the in situ study and the implementation of a feasibility project for the control of soil salinity in the basin of Chira and Piura rivers, in Upper Peru;
Carried and carrying out agronomic research in the fields of irrigation, cotton growing, forage cropping systems, cereal cropping systems, cropping systems sustainability and crop/weed competitive interactions and weed control.
Research interests
His research activity and results are partly documented by papers published on scientific journals or proceedings of national and international Conferences and Symposia.
He is actually involved in the study of agronomic problems of durum wheat and of weed control.
