• University Degree in Agricultural Sciences at Viterbo University, 110 out of 110 cum laude. June 1996. Experimental graduation dissertation.

• In February 2000, Ph-D in Horticulture at the Department of Crop Production of the University of Viterbo (Italy).

• From 1997 to 2000, stages at the Department of Vegetable Crops, University of California Davis (USA). Research works conducted in the Sustainable Agriculture Farming System Project (SAFS) on the effects of conventional, low-input, and organic farming systems on soil properties, soil-water-plant relationships, tomato yield and fruit quality.

• From 2000 to present: employed as researcher at the Department of Crop Production of the University of Viterbo (Italy).

• Member of the Italian Society of Horticulture (SOI).

• Study of water and fertilizer management in conventional, low-input, organic vegetable systems.

• Study of water, mineral nutrition, and growing media in hydroponics vegetable systems.
